CALGARY, AB – Village Brewery has announced details of an “unabashedly ginormous” mixed pack to mark the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation, as well as this year’s version of its annual Father’s Day release.
The Village 150 Can Day package contains 150 x 473 ml cans of Village beers, including 70 Village Blonde, 50 Village Squeeze, and 30 Village Blacksmith. Only 50 packages will be released starting today (June 7th) exclusively at the Village retail store.
Also launching today is Village Father Extra Special Bitter, a 5.2% ale that is described as follows:
On the front of this year’s Village Father is a picture of Vipul’s father. Vipul runs our bottling line and came to us from India. His Dad still lives there—we brewed this batch in his honour. Dad deserves a beer of great strength and character. He deserves the finest specialty malts, a creamy smooth texture and a glorious amber glow. On Father’s Day, he deserves the extra special bottle you’re now holding.
Both new releases will be available at 3:00 PM today at the brewery, and The Man Van – “Canada’s first and only mobile men’s health clinic” – will also be on hand offering PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood tests for prostate cancer detection.
