CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Upstreet Craft Brewing has announced the release of a new vintage of an award-winning seasonal beer to mark its 2nd anniversary.
De Novo II – following on last year’s 1st anniversary release of De Novo – is described as follows:
De Novo II is a hand-bottled farmhouse saison, a special Belgian style beer with no two alike. Known for its complex flavours with a dry finish, and ours is no exception. We used a simple ingredient list of Maritime malt, a sacch and brett yeast blend from a lab in Ontario and New Brunswick Goldings hops. These contribute light candy and funky flavours, with just enough bitterness and hops. Over time, the brett will continue to consume the remaining sugars, making the beer even more dry and funky.
De Novo II will be released this Thursday June 29th in a limited run of 750 ml bottles available exclusively at the Upstreet taproom and retail store. The release party running from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM will also feature DJs, cake, and “high fives with the team!” For more details, see the Facebook event listing.
