BURLINGTON, ON – Ontario Beverage Network reports that a popular pub and grill in Burlington has rebranded and relaunched as a brewpub, with its first house beers sent to be available soon.
5 West Brewpub & Kitchen – formerly the Purple Heather Pub – is located at 3600 Dundas St. W. in the north end of Burlington. Brewer Luisa Muhleisen will be launching her line-up of beers with two brands – Blonde Ale and Pilsner – followed by a Red Ale, Wheat Ale, and IPA. A selection of other local craft beers from breweries such as Nickel Brook and Great Lakes will also be available.
The house brewed beers will initially be available exclusively at the brewpub, but a retail shop selling packaged beer to go will be opening later this summer.
