WINDSOR, ON – Walkerville Brewery has announced that brewer Jeffrey Craig has passed away at age 25 after a nearly year long battle with esophageal cancer.
Craig had been on medical leave for treatment of his illness since he was diagnosed last September, but returned to the brewhouse earlier this year to participate in the brewing of Fine N’ Dandy Dandelion Saision, a collaboration between Walkerville and Craft Heads Brewing that raised more than $5,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Craig’s family and his fiancée, Beth Yaworsky, have asked that memorial donations in his name be made to the Hospice of Windsor or Canadian Cancer Society, and visitation and memorial service details are available via the Families First Funeral Homes website.
