VANCOUVER, BC – Strange Fellows Brewing has announced the release of a limited edition beer inspired by a harvest tradition from an historic hop growing region in Europe.
Hop Devil is a fresh hop ale that takes its name from an effigy burned by farmers in Hoppeland, Belgium each year in hopes that the mythical creature won’t appear in the form of a late summer storm to damage or destroy the crop before harvest.
The 5.3% abv beer is described as follows:
Brewed with fresh Cascades from Maple Bay Hop Company, this beer was built to showcase the cones, using malt only as a balance to their earthy and fruity hop character.
Strange Fellows Hop Devil is available now at the Strange Fellows taproom and store.
