PEMBROKE, ON – Square Timber Brewing has announced the release of a new beer inspired by a unique regional name for a Canadian dessert favourite.
Matrimonial Cake Stout (6.5% abv) takes its moniker from the name used for date squares in Saskatchewan, where the brewery’s owner Mark Bru grew up. It’s briefly described as follows:
This beer has the building blocks of date squares including 40 lbs of dates. Notes of dark fruit, roasted oat crust, citrus and creamy finish.
Matrimonial Cake Stout is available now in 473 ml cans at Square Timber while supplies last.
