GRAVENHURST, ON & BURLINGTON, ON – Sawdust City Brewing and Nickel Brook Brewing have announced details of the 5th annual edition of 11.05, a collaborative beer series commemorating the fact that November 5th is the shared birthday of their respective head brewers.
Developed and brewed by Sam Corbeil (Sawdust City) and Ryan Morrow (Nickel Brook), this year’s version of 11.05 is a Imperial Sour brewed with soursop, and as with all of the 11.05 series, it’s 11% abv.
“We’ve really been working on a lot of great sours here at Nickel Brook, so we wanted to bring that into the mix this year,” says Morrow in a press release. “Getting to 11% just means lots more malt and a bit of added sugar, and then Sam had the idea of using this soursop fruit which gives the beer a really unique tropical flavor and creamy mouthfeel.”
The 2017 edition of 11.05 was brewed at Nickel Brook, and will be launched there on Sunday November 5th in a limited run of 3000 x 375 ml bottles, selling for $4.50 each. It will also be on tap at the Sawdust City saloon and other select beer bars while supplies last.
