VANCOUVER, BC – Powell Brewery has announced the return of a limited edition IPA, and the launch of a new series of barrel-aged beers.
Right Kind of Crazy (9% abv) is described as follows:
A classic West Coast Style Double IPA that will bring you back to the time when IPAs were sparkly clear. A light malt base is complemented with the use of Amarillo, Azzaca and Columbus hops providing flavours & aromas of citrus, pine and melon.
Vanish No. 1 (6.8% abv) is the first in “an irreplicable series of ales each unique yet sharing a common origin,” and has the following notes:
A mixed fermentation farmhouse ale matured 30 months in French oak barrels. Aromas of roasted nuts, late harvest fruits, and tobacco lead into a pleasant acidity with flavours of citrus, stone fruit, and assertive oak.
Both beers are released today in the Powell tasting room and retail store, and will be available at select private liquor stores starting next week.
