Good Robot Brewing, Bad Apple Brewhouse & Unfiltered Brewing Release First Cans

HALIFAX & SOMERSET, NSThe Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reports that three Nova Scotia breweries are offering select brands in cans for the first time.

Good Robot Brewing has used the services of mobile canning business Craft Coast Canning to can Extra BIG-ASS Beer (5.2% abv), an award-winning Marzen/Oktoberfest amber. It’s available at the brewery in single cans and 4-packs.

Bad Apple Brewhouse has canned up some of the latest batch of Mosaic Double IPA (8% abv), a popular brand that raises money for Nova Scotia Down Syndrome Society in honour the son of owner Jeff Saunders, Hunter, who lives with Mosaic Down Syndrome. Black & Tackle Imperial Stout (9% abv) has also been canned, and both beers are available at the brewery and private liquor stores in Halifax.

Unfiltered Brewing has made a strong move to the new format with four beers – Exile on North Street IPA (6.5% abv), Twelve Years to Zion DIPA (8% abv), Flat Black Jesus West Coast Stout (7% abv), and Double Orange Ale (7.5% abv) – available at the brewery and Bishop’s Cellar.
