2 Crows Brewing Releasing Linnea Imperial Stout for Finland’s 100th Independence Day

HALIFAX, NS – 2 Crows Brewing has announced details of a new beer that will be released tomorrow (December 6th) to mark the 100th year of Finland’s independence from the Russian Republic.

Linnea (9.1% abv, 62 IBU) was inspired by the  is described as follows:

Linnea is a Finnish-inspired Imperial Stout, brewed with ~95% Finnish malts, molasses, and conditioned with liquorice root, star anise, sea salt, and cardamom. Salty liquorice (salmiakki) and cardamom are flavours that prevalent in Finnish cuisine.

The brewery also notes that “Head brewer Jeremy (Taylor) lived for a while in Finland, and his brother Jonathon currently lives there with his family. The beer is named after Jeremy’s niece.”

Linnea will be available in 473 ml cans and on tap while supplies last.
