WHITEHORSE, YK – Winterlong Brewing has announced details of two seasonal beers that will be returning this month, as well as some upcoming food specials and other holiday happenings at the brewery.
Bitter Elf – an “American Strong Ale brewed with all Chinook hops and some darker crystal malts [that] is like a mini, hoppy-barleywine” – will be available exclusively on tap starting early this week. And this year’s vintage of Guilt Trip Barleywine (9% abv) – “drink it fresh for the super hop blast or age it a few months and let the malt flavours of toffee, prune and raisin shine” – is expected to be released on December 20th in 650 ml bottles and limited glass pours in the brewery taproom.
On the food front, cheese and charcuterie boards by Cultured Fine Cheese will be available on Fridays and Saturdays, oysters from Wayfarer Oyster Bar will be offered on Saturday afternoons, and Turkey Pie & Tourtière have been added to the savoury pie options.
A number of gift items are also available to purchase including “beer soap to glassware, hoodies to toques,” and a special charity gift pack created with several other local businesses to raise money for Share The Spirit Yukon.
