TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced details of a new limited edition series that is spinning out of a group of experimental and collaborative beers that were released throughout the year in 2017 to mark the brewery’s 30th anniversary.
The 7 Barrel Series – so named because the beers are being brewed on the 7 barrel pilot system the owner Peter Bulut had installed last year as “a little birthday present” – is intended to allow the GLB brewing team led by Mike Lackey to “continue crafting, collaborating and creating inspiring beers on a more continual basis.”
Beers developed and brewed on the system in the past year have included Meanwhile… Down in Moxee, Grimace’s Tears, Found Money, What Willis Was Talking About, The Puzzled Huntsman, and Grandpa’s Ol’ White Eggnog Stout, all of which may make return visits, alongside many new creations.
Beers in GLB’s 7 Barrel Series will be available in the brewery retail store as well as at select licencees throughout Ontario. For more details, see the full announcement.
