TORONTO, ON – Bellwoods Brewery has announced details of the next instalment in its Barn Owl series of barrel-aged and blended beers.
Barn Owl No. 11 (7% abv) is described as follows:
Barn Owl #11 is all about the bounty from Rosewood Estates Winery & Meadery in Niagara. We brewed a farmhouse ale, aged it in oak barrels for just over a year, refermented the blend with raw Rosewood honey and fresh lavender (the same lavender that their bees feast upon!). Contrary to previous Barn Owl releases, this one is not sour, but rather a farmhouse blend showcasing a complementary balance of soft saison notes with floral lavender aromatics.
Barn Owl No. 11 will be released on Saturday January 20th in a limited edition of 2639 x 500 ml bottles available to purchase at both Bellwoods retail locations while supplies last.
UPDATE: Due to a labeling issue, the release of Barn Owl No. 11 didn’t take place on January 20th as planned. Bellwoods is hoping to have it ready for January 27th, and will announce on Instagram once it has been confirmed.
