HORTONVILLE, NS – Horton Ridge Malt & Grain has announced the upcoming release of a new beer made exclusively with locally grown ingredients.
Beer of Fundy (6% abv, 63 IBU) is described by the Atlantic Canada Beer Blog as follows:
Beer of Fundy celebrates the Bay of Fundy and the Annapolis Valley by being made with malt, hops and water that are all from that region. The barley (75%) and rye (25%) were grown and malted by Horton Ridge and the hops used were Galena and Centennial sourced from Fundy Hops down the road in Berwick.
Beer of Fundy will make its debut at “Songs & Suds of the Valley”, an event taking place at Horton Ridge on Saturday January 20th from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The party will feature live performances by a variety of local musical artists, and representatives from Fundy Hops and Horton Ridge will be on hand to discuss the beer and its ingredients.
