WINNIPEG, MB – Torque Brewing has announced the upcoming release of its first gruit, the ancient beer style made with botanicals and other flavourings in place of hops.
Borealis Gruit (6.5% abv) was brewed with “Manitoba botanicals such as bog myrtle, yarrow, juniper and spruce tips.”
Borealis will be released in late January, in time for International Gruit Day on February 1st, and will be available exclusively at Torque in a limited run of 500 bottles.
