Participating Breweries Announced for International Gruit Day 2018

VANKLEEK HILL, ON – The list of nearly 60 breweries from around the world taking part in the 6th annual edition of International Gruit Day on February 1st has been announced, and 14 Canadian breweries are among the participants.

Founded in 2013 by Beau’s All-Natural Brewing, International Gruit Day is “intended to pay homage, and raise awareness, to the historical traditions of brewing with herbs and spices in lieu of hops.”

In addition to Beau’s, other breweries in Canada that will be releasing a limited edition gruit on or around February 1st include:

  • Brock St. Brewing (Whitby, ON)
  • Church-Key Brewing (Campbellford, ON)
  • Haliburton Highlands Brewing (Haliburton, ON)
  • Moody Ales (Port Moody, BC)
  • Real Cask Brewing (Vancouver, BC)
  • Salt Spring Island Ales (Salt Spring Island, BC)
  • The Second Wedge Brewing (Uxbridge, ON)
  • Sober Island Brewing (Sheet Harbour, NS)
  • Torchlight Brewing (Nelson, BC)
  • Torque Brewing (Winnipeg, MB)
  • Waller St. Brewing (Ottawa, ON)
  • Wellington Brewery (Guelph, ON)
