HAMILTON, ON – Ontario Beverage Network reports that a long-anticipated brewery opening took place this past weekend in Hamilton, Ontario.
Clifford Brewing was launched in late 2014 by Brad Clifford following his two years of operating a nanobrewery out of Toronto beer bar Get Well. Clifford beers were brewed under contract while Brad and his father, Barc Clifford, scouted for a location to establish bricks-and-mortar facility.
As announced last October, that location ended up being found at 398 Nash Road North in Hamilton, where the younger Clifford is brewing on a custom-built 35 HL brewhouse and accompanying cellar of 70 HL fermenters.
The facility also features a 2,000-square-foot taproom and retail shop, where the brewery’s two flagship brands – Clifford Porter (5.9% abv) and Pinball Wizard APA (5.7% abv) – have been joined by the new East Hamilon Lager (5% abv) in 473 ml cans, and all three along with English Ale and IPA are available on draught.
Clifford Brewing will initially be open from 12:00 noon to 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM on Sundays, with expanded hours planned for the future. For more details, see the Clifford Brewing website, Facebook page, and Twitter feed.
