ABBOTSFORD, BC – Ravens Brewing has announced details of two new sour ales that are being released this week.
Named after a pair of ravens from Norse mythology that fly across the world and bring information to Odin, Huginn Barrel Aged Dark Sour (6% abv) and Muninn Dark Sour with Black Currant (6% abv) were brewed to the same base recipe, but then headed in different directions once brewing was complete:
Oak aged in red wine barrels for three months Hugginn presents a different take on the dark sour. Pouring deep brown with flavours of oak and wine and buttery richness.
Munnin is a Dark Kettle Sour with the addition of Black Currant and pours a crimson red. Dark fruit and wine notes lead to a tart finish.
Both beers will be officially launched on Friday February 23rd at the brewery, and will be available in 650 ml bottles and on tap while supplies last. For more details, see the Facebook event listing.
