TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced details of a party to celebrate the return of fan favourite in its rotating series of seasonal IPAs.
Octopus Wants To Fight IPA (6.2% abv, 88 IBU) is described as follows:
It pours a beautiful burnt gold edging into a dull orange, like a orange creamsicle complete with a tight white head. As you can imagine, lots of tropical fruits abound from the glass with the first whiffs, followed by a walk in the woods as pine, evergreen and some herbaceous notes are picked up. The first sip provides some sweetness, some dank grass combined with pine needles and then onto “juicy fruit”. Soft body with some middle mouthfeel bitterness that tastes like another.
The launch party will be happening on Thursday March 29th starting at 5:00 PM at the recently opened Bar Hop Session (681 Danforth Ave.), and will feature Octopus and nine other GLB beers on tap – including a few surprises – live music, giveaways, an art installation, and food specials. For more details, see the full announcement on the GLB website.
Octopus Wants To Fight will be available in 473 ml cans at the GLB retail store later this week, and at LCBO locations throughout Ontario in early April.
