BOWMANVILLE, ON – A new brewery with a name inspired by the owners’ love of “mythology, fables, games, medieval fantasy, sci-fi, and more” will be opening soon in Bowmanville.
Chronicle Brewing is being established by founder Ted Paulsen, head brewer Jim Gorry (ex-Manantler Craft Brewing), and assistant brewer Allan Cowling. The group is currently working with a 4.7 hectolitre nanobrewing system, but plans to expand to a larger brewhouse later this year.
Originally planned to be called Canadian Parks Brewing – a name that was used on a collaboration with Town Brewery released several weeks ago – Chronicle is set to open on Saturday April 28th, with Paulsen telling Ontario Beverage Network that the initial line-up will include “Idaho 7 dry hopped kettle sour, Robust Milk Porter, classic West Coast IPA, English Mild, American style Amber Wheat,” and several others.
Chronicle Brewing is located at 422 Lake Road Unit 3 in Bowmanville. For more details, see the brewery’s Facebook page and Instagram feed.
