WINDSOR FORKS, NS – The Annapolis Valley Spectator reports that a a combination winery and brewery will be opening this summer in Windsor Forks, a small community southwest of Windsor in Nova Scotia’s Hants County.
Bent Ridge Winery & Bent Nail Brewery is being founded by brothers Glenn and Steven Dodge, and is located on Daniels U-Pick, a pick-your-own farm owned by their cousin Phil Daniels.
Steven tells the paper that the brewing operation will feature a 2-barrel system, and that they plan to “have four or five varieties on tap, with some year-rounds. Certainly an IPA, an English cream ale, we may go with a light Belgian beer. Then we’ll have some seasonal beers, probably a pumpkin ale at harvest time.”
In addition to the winery and brewery, the facility will also feature a year-round patio, a food menu focused on wood-fired gourmet pizzas, and a retail shop selling wine and beer to go.
Bent Ridge & Bent Nail is expected to open this July. For more details, see the full article.
