VANCOUVER, BC – Granville Island Brewing – a subsidiary of Molson Coors Canada – has announced details of its release plans for the next few months, including several seasonal and limited edition releases.
A pair of popular seasonal beers – Lions Summer Ale (4.7% abv, 19 IBU) and False Creek Raspberry Ale (4.5% abv, 11 IBU) – are back for the spring and summer, both on their own and as part of the Summer Mingler 12-pack. This sampler comes in two versions this year: a bottle pack containing Lions, False Creek, English Bay Pale Ale (5% abv, 18 IBU), and Sunshine Coast Hefeweizen (5% abv, 15 IBU); and a can pack that includes Cypress Honey Lager (4.7% abv, 15 IBU) in place of the Hefeweizen.
In the brewery’s Small Batch Series, So-Cal Style IPA (7.8% abv, 80 IBU) will be returning on May 3rd, and will now be a year-round brand along with West Coast Pale Ale (5.5% abv, 38 IBU) and the recently released Pacific Northwest Porter (6% abv, 32 IBU). Returning for a limited summer run will be Gose With Peach (5% abv, 17 IBU), joined this year by the brand new West Coast Farmhouse Saison (specs TBC).
All of the noted beers will be available in British Columbia and the prairie provinces, with some also being distributed further east. For more details, see the full announcement on the GIB website.
