HALIFAX, NS – 2 Crows Brewing has announced details of a new beer created in collaboration with PEI’s Shoreline Malting.
Field Hand Wild Ale (3.4% abv, 12 IBU) is described as follows:
Brewed with Shoreline pale malt, and a touch of raw wheat, this beer was hopped lightly in the boil with Galaxy and Hallertau Blanc hops, and fermented warm with a blend of wild yeasts we harvested from one of our favourite beers thus far this year. After fermentation, the beer was lightly dry hopped with more Galaxy and Hallertau Blanc. The resulting beer is bright, refreshing, and lightly funky, with notes of pithy grapefruit and passionfruit. The malt performed incredibly well, and contributes a nice crisp backbone to the beer with a rustic yet refined complexity.
Field Hand will be released tomorrow (April 28th) at 2 Crows in a limited run of just 25 cases of 473 ml cans. A keg-conditioned version will also be available on tap at select beer bars in the area.
