TORONTO, ON – Bellwoods Brewery has announced several new beers that are set to be released this month, and well as initial details for the 2018 vintage of an always anticipated annual release.
The May releases will start on Saturday May 12th with Raspberry Milkshark (7% abv), the latest “ridiculously delicious, fruity, hoppy, velvety, voluptuous beast” in the brewery’s ongoing series of fruit-flavoured milkshake IPAs.
A week later on Saturday May 19th, Barn Owl #13 (6.7% abv) will finally be available after a three month delay. A barrel-aged sour ale with raspberries and cranberries, it will be limited to just over 3000 bottles.
Towards the end of the month, Pineapple & Blueberry Jelly King (5.6% abv) will be released, another fruited variant of the popular Jelly King dry-hopped sour ale.
Finally, there’s some early information on this year’s Motley Cru, which will be released on Saturday June 9th. The 2018 edition will actually feature three beers – “all cut from the same cloth, with each one celebrating a different fruit” – and full details for the format of the release day as well as some preview tastings will be announced later this month.
