VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Brewery Tours, a company that offers a variety of public and private tours of breweries and beer destinations throughout Vancouver and area, has announced the launch of its latest walking tour.
The Gastown Pub Walk will give participants a look at “Vancouver’s original ale trail” in the heart of the city’s oldest neighbourhood. As described in the press release:
The birthplace of Vancouver’s first pub, Gastown is over 150 years old and is steeped in history, iconic landmarks and is a must see destination for visitors to the city. “We’ve been supporting our local breweries for the last 5 years and wanted to learn more about where the beer ends up, namely our local pubs, “ exclaims Ryan Mackey, Vancouver Brewery Tours’ Founder. “We found an abundance of notable craft beer pubs with interesting stories in Gastown and even better BC craft beers on tap, making it the perfect neighborhood for our newest tour.”
Running on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, as well as for private requests, the tour will include stops at three craft beer bars including The Alibi Room, beer at each stop, an appetizer, a souvenir pint glass, and the opportunity to “not only learn about beer and Vancouver’s thriving craft beer scene, but also about the history and stories of Gastown.”
Tickets for the Gastown Pub Walk can be reserved online for $69.99 plus tax. For more details, see the Vancouver Brewery Tours website.
