VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has announced the release of a new limited beer in support of a campaign to get a new word added to the Webster and Oxford dictionaries.
Levidrome Imperial Regal Lager (7% abv) takes its name from a term coined by 7-year-old Levi Budd of Victoria to refer to words that spell a different word when read backwards, such as “regal” and “lager”. The beer is described as follows:
Levidrome pours a pale straw colour with light white foam. Herbal and grassy notes mingle with the noble hop and sweet malt character. Its light and balanced mouthfeel finishes with a subtle sweetness.
Levidrome is available now in 650 ml bottles at the Phillips taproom and shop, and select private liquor stores. For more details on the beer and the campaign to have Levidrome added to the dictionary, see coverage by the Victoria Times Colonist.
