VANKLEEK HILL, ON – Beau’s All Natural Brewing has announced details of the next release in its Farm Table Series, which features “approachable creations interpreting classic or emerging beer styles.”
Hopfenlager (6.6% abv, 45 IBU) is “a hoppy take on a traditional clean and crisp German-style lager,” which is described as follows:
Also called an India Pale Lager, the hopfenlager is a relatively new hybrid style which is fermented like a lager, but hopped more like an I.P.A., creating a clean and crisp lager-like finish with amplified hop character. Hopfenlager pours hazy yellow with a white foam. The aroma is herbal with a note of savoury onion plus a dash of peppery spice. The flavour highlights intense hop bitterness. The finish is long and herbaceous.
Hopfenlager will be officially launched on Thursday May 31st, and will be available at Beau’s retail store and BYBO delivery service, LCBO locations in Ontario, and select grocery and corner stores in Quebec. Distribution to Manitoba and New Brunswick will follow in early summer.
