PORT MOODY, BC – Twin Sails Brewing has announced the availability of three new beers, as well as the upcoming release of another pair.
Released this past Saturday May 26th were Brass Section Dry-Hopped Saison, Sweet Nothings Tart Wheat Ale, and Straight to Video Dry Hopped Sour Ale, which are described as follows:
Brass Section: Brewed in the French style, we built this recipe on a light, crackery malt bill consisting of Pilsner and Wheat which combines seamlessly with the light peppery spice and pear notes from the yeast. We did a light dry hopped with Hallertau Blanc giving it notes white grape and melon.
Sweet Nothings: This beer was brewed with acidulated malt and huge amounts of wheat giving it a light, snappy body with a crisp, crackery finish. We added 12kg of dried Hibiscus and 20kg of local alfalfa honey adding a light acidity and a beautiful floral bouquet.
Straight to Video: Soured with a beautiful Lactobacillus blend from Bootleg Biology, fermented with our house ale yeast, finished with a Saison yeast, then dry hopped with a huge dosage of Eldorado and Amarillo hops, this beer is all kinds of complex! This is our first experiment with our tank Sour program and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Bright acidity, lots of tropical fruit and citrus notes and light crisp body, this beer goes down way too easy!
All three beers are available at the brewery — the first two in cans and on draught, and Straight to Video on draught only — while supplies last.
Twin Sails has also announced that two old favourites – Two Straws Mango & Pineapple Milkshake IPA and Lush Crush Oat Session Ale – will be back this coming weekend, with more details to be announced on social media later in the week.
