Short Finger Brewing Homebrew Shop Launches Nanobrewery

KITCHENER, ONOntario Beverage Network reports that a popular homebrew supply shop in Kitchener has launched an on-site brewery.

Short Finger Brewing was opened in June 2015 by Rob and Kat Hern, and a relocation earlier this year gave them the room required to set up a nanobrewery.

Following a quiet roll-out of kegs to several local establishments over the past couple of weeks, Short Finger will be starting retail sales of its beer this Thursday June 21st.

Three beers will be available in bottles – Ain’t No Sunshine (Barrel-aged Golden Sour, aged for 10 months with peaches), G Lite Foote (Whisky barrel-aged Golden Sour, aged for 9 months with oranges, lime zest and maraschino cherries), and So it Gose (Blended barrel-aged Gose, brewed with coriander and sea salt) – with several others available by the glass and in growlers at a one-day pop-up bar. A permanent tasting room is currently under construction and will open later in the summer.

The bottle shop launch will be taking place in conjunction with the 2nd annual Solstice is Coming grain sale, with single bags of malt available at 10-bag bulk pricing.
