PETTY HARBOUR, NL – The Western Star reports a brewery that had been planning to launch later this year in Petty Harbour on the eastern shore of Newfoundland will no longer be opening.
Motion Bay Brewing was being founded by a team that included partners Patricia Dellapinna, Shannon Best, Chris Mackey, and Jana Muise, who had taken on the lease of a portion of the Fisherman’s Co-Op Building in the town to open the brewery and taproom.
Via a post on the brewery’s Facebook page published over the weekend, the partners announced that “due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to proceed with our brewery project.” No reasons for the cancellation or additional details were given.
