CALGARY, AB – Village Brewery has announced details of its sixth annual charity event to raise funds for the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre, where beer with a special “ballsy” ingredient will be taking centre stage.
Taking place tomorrow (Thursday July 5th) at Bottlescrew Bill’s (140 10th Avenue SW, Calgary), the Village NUTRaiser will feature three special flavored cask ales – including Pineapple, Apples & Cinnamon, and Rocket Pops – with each cask also containing two cooked bull testicles.
The beers were designed with the help of several celebrity Calgarians – wrestler Bret Hart, Dragons’ Den panellist Brett Wilson, and food writer Julie Van Rosendaal – who will be in attendance at the event.
The casks will be tapped at 5:00 PM, and each donation of $100 will receive a pint of one of the beers. Donations can be made online in advance, or in person at the event.
