VANCOUVER, BC – Farmhouse Fest, an annual festival focussed on “saisons, sours, cider, and wild farmhouse ales,” has announced details of the official beer for this year’s edition.
Genever is a collaboration between Dageraad Brewing and Steel & Oak Brewing, and is described as follows:
Genever [is] a saison spiced with gin botanicals that we blended with beer that was aged in red wine barrels that were pre-soaked with gin from Odd Society Spirits. The result is like a lovely gin that also happens to be a saison.
Genever will have a preview release tonight (July 6th) at Tangent Cafe during the Farmhouse Fest welcome party, and will be pouring in the Dageraad booth tomorrow at the festival. It will also be available to purchase in 500 ml bottles a the festival’s onsite store, and a limited number of 1.5 litre magnums will be given away via a raffle.
Following the festival, bottles will be available at the Dageraad taproom and retail store, select bars, and private beer retailers while supplies last.
