CALGARY, AB – Calgary’s popular Marda Loop neighbourhood is now home to the city’s newest brewery, and one that shares its name with the area.
Marda Loop Brewing has been founded by homebrewer Mike de Jonge, with a vision of “bringing quality craft beer to his local community, in a casual atmosphere, and creating a space for people to come together over a pint.”
The brewery and taproom opened for the first time over the weekend, and is offering glasses, growlers, crowlers, and cans of several beers including Marda Station IPA (6.6% abv, 65 IBU), Jenkins Grapefruit Ale (5% abv, 16 IBU), Passchendale Pale Ale (5.3% abv, 42 IBU), Casablanca Blonde (5% abv, 18 IBU), Red Trolley Amber (5.2% abv, 31 IBU), and Outlaw Double IPA (6.8% abv, 75 IBU).
Marda Loop Brewing is located at 3523 18th Street SW in Calgary. For more details, see the brewery’s website and Facebook page.
