WINDSOR, ON – Walkerville Brewery has announced details of the latest release in its Barrel Series of limited edition barrel-aged beers.
Barrel-Aged Road Block Doppelbock (8.5% abv) is a special edition of the brewery’s Road Block Doppelbock, which is described as follows:
Long cool fermentation results in a deceptively easy drinking beer. German malts give this beer a bready, malt forward flavour which is enhanced by moderate bitterness. The resulting Road Block Doppelbock is a full flavoured, brown coloured strong lager.
The barrel-aged version of Road Block is stronger in alcohol and flavour than the original, and will be available in 500 ml swing-top bottles and on tap at Walkerville starting tomorrow (Friday August 17th) while supplies last. And as a nod to Ontario’s recent “buck-a-beer” brouhaha, $1 from each bottle sold this weekend will be donated to Little Things Matter, a micro-grant program run by the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative.
