HALIFAX, NS – Spindrift Brewing is set to release a new beer to mark the 15th anniversary of Hurricane Juan, the massive storm that devastated much of Halifax and central Nova Scotia on September 29th 2003.
Hurricane Juan Double IPA (8.2% abv, 55 IBU) was hopped woth Bru-1, El Dorado and Galaxy, resulting in a beer that has “dominant notes of pineapple and melon, with hints of stone fruit.”
Hurricane Juan will be launched on Thursday September 27th during a Spindrift tap takeover at Hopyard Halifax, which will feature nine Spindrift beers in all – including several other new and limited releases – plus a gust cider from Lake City Cider.
