VICTORIA, BC – Vancouver Island Brewing has has announced details of a new limited edition seasonal beer.
Misthorn Winter IPA (6.5% abv, 66 IBU) is described as follows:
Named for the Misthorn Glacier in the Strathcona Provincial Park, this hop-forward Winter IPA features a trifecta of supporting flavours – rye spice, cinnamon and orange – mirroring the three pinnacles that overlook its namesake.
Misthorn will make its official debut next week at a series of VIB fall kickoff events that will also feature the recently launched Harvest Saison, the return of Hermannator Ice Bock, and several other VIB beers. Dates and venues include:
- Monday October 1st – Piper’s Pub, Nanaimo
- Tuesday October 2nd – Darcy’s Pub Downtown, Victoria and Darcy’s Pub Westshore, Langford Station
- Wednesday October 3rd – Railway Stage & Beer Cafe, Vancouver
