BURLINGTON, ON – Nickel Brook Brewery has announced that partial sales of its year-round stout brand in November will be donated to the Movember Foundation.
25 cents for each can sold of Cheeky Bastard Stout – which fittingly features a mustachioed gentleman on the label – will be donated to the charity, which provides funds and awareness to various men’s health issues.
“A lot of us have supported Movember individually over the years, so we’re excited to make it a company-wide thing this year,” said Matt Gibson, Nickel Brook’s Manager of Corporate Sales and Marketing, in a statement. “November is stout season, and Cheeky Bastard is the perfect mascot for Movember, so the idea just made sense.”
Nickel Brook is planning a series of pop-up tastings at barber shops throughout November to help promote the campaign, as well as a end-of-Movember party at the brewery. And in addition to supporting Movember, cans of Cheeky Bastard will also be on sale until November 10th for $3.10 – down from $3.35 – per 473 ml can at all retail locations where it is available.
