VANCOUVER, BC – Luppolo Brewing has announced details of a pair of limited edition beers that are being released to mark the 2nd anniversary of the brewery.
Rosalba is a new sour ale described as follows:
A blend of two Saisons that were aged in red and white wine barrels with different strains of Brettanomyces for six months, then aged for two more months on hundreds of pounds of fresh Fraser Valley raspberries before finally being conditioned with another strain of Brettanomyces in the bottle. Fruity, complex, and sour, Rosalba pours a luscious blush red colour with a soft white head.
It will be joined by the second annual vintage of Evoluta, a Belgian-style dubbel that has spent a year aging in bourbon barrels.
Rosalba and Evoluta will both be released tomorrow (November 3rd) at the Luppolo 2nd anniversary party. The event kicks off at 1:00 PM, and will feature special and limited release beers on tap, free snacks by Chef Geoff Rogers, live music by TimmyP at 4:00 PM, and a dance party with DJ Simoniz starting at 8:00 PM.
