SUDBURY, ON – Ontario’s first brewery opening for 2019 has taken place this week in Sudbury.
Spacecraft Brewery has been founded by Dave Carnovale and Melissa Mehes, and features an outer space and science theme in its branding and tap room decor.
Two house-brewed beers – Riesling IPA and Hazy Citra IPA – are currently on tap alongside a selection of other craft brands. The owners plan to eventually offer 7 Spacecraft beers and 7 guest taps from other breweries.
The food menu is focused on small items including salads, sandwiches, and snacks, with a number of vegetarian and vegan options, and many ingredients and items sourced locally.
Spacecraft Brewery is located at 854 Notre Dame Ave. in Sudbury. Currently in soft opening mode, an official launch is planned for tomorrow (Friday January 4th), with a promise that those who arrive “dressed as a robot or alien [will] get a premium welcome beverage!”
