Timber Ship Brewing Launches in Miramichi, NB

MIRAMICHI, NB – A new brewery in Miramichi, New Brunswick has had its first pair of beers tapped at a local pub.

Timber Ship Brewing has been founded by two couples – Darren & Gillian Row, and Jeff & Erin Savage – who aim to “make quality beer and share as much of it as we can with our community.”

The debut beers from the brewery are Dungarvon Hopper IPA (6.0% abv, 64 IBU) and Broken Paddle Pale Ale (5.3% abv, 40 IBU), both of which went on tap late last week at The Piping Plover Gastropub. Two more brands – Ballast Island Blonde (5.2% abv, 20 IBU) and Miramichi Irish Red (5.2% abv, 25 IBU) – are planned to follow soon.

Timber Ship currently has no taproom or retail location, and is concentrating on distributing 20 litre kegs to local bars and restaurants for now.
