HALIFAX, NS – Good Robot Brewing has announced details for its 3rd annual FemmeBot Week, in which the brewery “invites women and those who identify as women everywhere to drink beer brewed by women, eat food prepared by women, and attend programming carefully put together by women.”
Running from March 6th to 10th – not coincidentally the week of International Women’s Day – FemmeBot Week will feature daily events including “spoken word poetry (with Mariah Pelley Smith and Deirdre Lee), industry panels, storytelling, dancing, movie screenings and even a Stitch ‘n’ Bitch event in which guests can voice their concerns to the room on a variety of topics.”
The anchor event for the week is Cheers For Lady Beers, taking place on the evening of March 8th, and featuring a tap takeover of beers brewed by women at breweries throughout the Maritimes, as well as the announcement of the results of this year’s FemmeBot Homebrew Competition, a BJCP-judged contest for female homebrewers.
