ABBOTSFORD, BC – Field House Brewing has announced details of a new beer-wine hybrid created in collaboration with Whispering Horse Winery.
L’Acadie Sour (9% abv) is described as follows:
We had the fortune of going to help harvest this past season’s L’Acadie grapes off the vines, watch the grapes being pressed right there in their barn, and then take the pomace back to the brewery. We put a sour that we had been aging in wood barrels for a year onto the grapes where the beer sat for another 4 months.
L’Acadie Sour is available now at Field House in a limited run of 500 ml bottles, with a launch event taking place today (March 7th) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM featuring samples of the new beer alongside Whispering Horse L’Acadie Wine and local snacks. Bottles will also be available next week at select local liquor stores.
