TORONTO, ON – On WednesdayMarch 27th, the Honourable Ted Arnott, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, hosted Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) and government staff at the 14th annual Ontario Craft Brewers tasting event at Queen’s Park in Toronto.
32 OCB member breweries were on hand to pour 116 different beers for attendees who were asked to cast ballots to choose their favourites. The winning beers will be available in the dining room and at catered events & receptions at Queen’s Park for the 2019-20 fiscal year.
The categories and winning beers for this year were as follows:
Speaker’s Choice: Niagara College Teaching Brewery – Pilsner 101
Ale: Full Beard Brewing – The Bearded Prospector Cream Ale
IPA: Junction Craft Brewing – Caribru Session IPA
Lager: Cowbell Brewing – Shindig Huron County Lager
Stout & Porter: Muskoka Brewery – Shinnicked Stout
Specialty: Old Tomorrow Brewing – Honey Ginger Shandy
