BRIDGEWATER, NS – A new taproom focused on serving the best from Nova Scotia’s breweries, cider makers, and wineries – including beers brewed on site by local homebrewers – will be opening soon in downtown Bridgewater.
King Street Beer Company has been founded in partnership with the owners of Saltbox Brewing in nearby Mahone Bay, and will offer Saltbox beers and ciders on tap along with a selection of guest taps from other local producers.
In addition, homebrewers are invited to come in and create beers on the in-house pilot brewing system, with the results to be put on tap under the LaHave River Beers label. The more popular selections will then be scaled up to be brewed on the full 10-barrel system at Saltbox for wider release.
Food service for the taproom and patio will be limited to light snacks, but customers will be encouraged to bring in take-out food from other local restaurants.
King Street Beer Company will be opening on Friday May 3rd at 463 King Street in Bridgewater. For more details including business hours, see the website and Facebook page.
