PORT MOODY, BC – Yellow Dog Brewing has announced details of its first barrel-aged beer/wine hybrid, brewed in collaboration with JoieFarm Winery.
Like Minds Brett Saison is described as follows:
An attempt to marry the delicate fruit flavours created by yeast in beer and the fragrant qualities of white wine grapes. The majority (80%) of this blend is made up of a Brett Saison co-fermented with Belgian and Norwegian yeast strains. Before being moved into oak barrels, it was finished with our house blend of brettanomyces. After blending the barrels together, we added the featured piece to the project: some fresh Gewürztraminer grape must. To top it off, we added some Citra hops to bring even more fruitiness to the foreground.
Like Minds will be released tomorrow (April 19th) at the Yellow Dog tasting room and retail store.
