TORONTO, ON – Burdock Brewery has announced details of three new beers that are coming out this week.
Demibeer (3% abv) is “an ultra refreshing toned-down little hoppy pale ale […] with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe and some citrus wood tannin to give it more texture and zip.” It will be in tap in the brewpub and in bottles in the retail shop.
Kölsch (pictured above) is a “refreshing, fruity, and *crispy* little beer with great head retention” that will be available exclusively on tap, served in the traditional 200 ml stange glasses.
Froots (5% abv) is Burdock’s latest beer-wine hybrid, and is “a blend of 1-2 year old Brett saisons aged in neutral wine barriques (225L), then blended in stainless steel with blackberries, Saskatoon berries, a small quantity of sour cherries, and a splash of Niagara pinot noir at bottling.” It will be released in the retail shop and bar at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 4th in 375 ml bottles, plus a very limited number of 1.5L magnums in the shop.
In addition to the new brews, Burdock has also announced that it is now offering lunch service starting at 11:00 AM daily, with an all-day menu from new chef Emma Herrera. More details are planned to be announced soon.
