MERRITT, BC – The first modern brewery in the south-central British Columbia city of Merritt has announced that it will be opening to the public tomorrow (May 8th).
Empty Keg Brew House has been founded by Kyle and Kelly Hall, and is named after the fact that friends and family who sampled Kyle’s home brews commented that they were “so good that your kegs will always be empty.”
Empty Keg will be opening with eight beers available, including a Scottish 80 Shilling, Irish Red Ale with Honey, Radler, Blonde Ale, German Pilsner, Belgian Saison, Mocha Porter, and IPA. In addition to pouring pints, flights, and growler fills, the taproom will also offer light snacks.
Empty Keg Brew House is located at 2190 Voght St. in Merritt, and will be open from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday to Saturday, and 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. For more details, see the brewery’s website and Facebook page.
