BEDFORD, NS – A casual bar and restaurant in Bedford, a suburban community in the Halifax Regional Municipality, plans to be pouring beer brewed on-site later this year.
Brewster’s Bar & Grill is one of a number of food and drink establishments owned by the Grafton Connor Group, and will be installing a brewing system that the Atlantic Canada Beer Blog describes as follows:
A full 10 BBL (12 hL) mash tun and kettle will be installed along with four 10 BBL fermentation tanks and a hot liquor tank besides. Beer will be served on-premises direct from four 5 BBL bright tanks, and some kegging will take place to service other Grafton Connor properties.
The system is currently being fabricated by the recently revived DME Process Systems in Charlottetown, and is expected to be in place by October, with beer flowing by November.
