NORWICH, UK – The winners have been announced for the final round of the 2019 edition of the World Beer Awards, and three Canadian breweries have received top recognition for their entries.
The annual competition features thousands of beers from around the world, with regional heats of blind tastings taking place in various countries in Europe, Asia and The Americas, followed by a tasting of style winners from each country to select the World’s Best.
World’s Best style winners from Canada for 2019 include:
- Flavoured Wild/Sour – Bench Brewing Plum Grove
- Black IPA – Microbrasserie La Souche Tordeuse Imperial
- Pale Belgian Style Strong – Mt. Begbie Brewing Begbie Grand Cru
- Framboise – Microbrasserie La Souche Franc-Bois d’hiver (also overall winner for Sour category)
