HUNTSVILLE, ON – A brewery in the works since early 2018 is now open in Huntsville, a town in Ontario’s Muskoka Region.
Canvas Brewing has been founded by Jeffrey Woodworth and Steve Koncan, and was “born out of a love for the local landscape and a passion for fresh, well-made craft beer.”
Open since mid-December, the brewery and taproom currently has two of its own brands available – Canvas Kölsch (4.5% abv) and Ember Red Ale (5.2% abv) – with more to come, plus a selection of beers from other Ontario craft breweries including Sawdust City, Redline, Trestle, and more.
Along with beer, the bar offers wine, spirits, and a light snack menu, with customers welcome to order or bring in food from local restaurants. The venue also features an event space with capacity for up to 200 people, and a large patios on ground level and rooftop that will be open in the spring.
Canvas Brewing is located at 12 John St. in Huntsville, and is open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Thursday to Saturday. For more details, see the brewery’s website and Facebook page.
